Today the Mayor kicked off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week with a special unveiling. The 1-Subway line has officially been named “The Fashion Line” for the week in honor of the new location at Lincoln Center. Check out the video!
The largest public fashion show in New York City history to thrill and inspire shoppers prior to the week’s celebration of Fashion’s Night Out on September 10, 2010. The Show boast nearly 150 of the industry’s top models including, Alessandra Ambrosio, Gisele Bunchen, Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima, Angela Lindvall, and Coco Rocha, among others, and gave over 1,500 guests a look at the key trends of the Fall 2010 season picked by Vogue magazine.

Former founder and lead orchestrator of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, Fern Mallis told us she was sad to leave, but an opportunity to see new things…
“I’m sad about leaving Bryant Park. It’s home, it’s familiar, everybody knows what they are doing here and how it works. But you know its like everything else, it will be an opportunity to reinvent and discover a few new restaurants and sandwich shops. It’ll be fine but it’s sad after almost 18 years.”

The Kardashian sisters have decided to partner with leading international designer Bruno Schiavi and his apparel company, Jupi Corporation.

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney will collaborate with Schiavi on a complete brand launch of apparel, home and accessories. The first to debut…a women’s RTW collection, handbags, belts, wallets and lingerie.
