Inspired by Paris in the 60’s, Siriano says he wanted to create evening wear luxury that you could also wear during the day, and he did.  Glamourous, lady-like skirts and jackets had a sharp edge, dresses with slim silhouettes and asymmetrical draping.

Ports 1961 wearable collection is full of architectural influence, mixing old world with futuristic details.

A  neutral palette of cremes, browns, black and shots of metallic abound on techno-like fabrics. Luxurious embellishments give way to the old world feel. Lets not forget the leather “swim caps.”

Slim silouettes, leggings, and let’s not forget the leather “swim” caps–a nod to the 80’s!

Maybe something we’ll see The City’s Whitney Port and Roxy Olin don–as they were on hand to watch.

Well, the show must go on as they say and all 80 plus will be

under the fashion tents and for the last time, since next season they’ll be held at Lincoln Center.

Pop-Star, Michelle Williams was there to pay homage and a house full of A-list editors from Anna Wintour to Hal Rubenstein.

Most were stunned, just hearing the news about Alexander McQueen, franticly twittering and cell phoning away before the show started.
