We all know his Party Rockin jams from LMFAO….but now Redfoo is going solo and taking things up a notch with a new debut album, a fashion line and of course more PARTYING! He stopped by the LifeMinute offices to tell us all about it…
And of course, as soon as you look at him you think nothing but fun….BUT there is a whole other side to the party rocker that most don’t know. Like, bet you wouldn’t have guessed that he used to be a day trader and is really good with numbers. His favorite hobby is putting data into spreadsheets. He likes to see the big picture all spread out in front of him.
Redfoo also shared that his dad, Berry Gordy (founder of Motown Records) told him he didn’t have the voice for rap. But did that stop him….hells no! It actually made him push even harder for what he wanted and now look where he is.

Another monumental moment for us at LifeMinute! Getting to hang out with Jules and Katie from The Ting Tings for an hour, chatting about Studio 54, dressing like a toddler and how not getting drunk before going on stage is really working out better than they thought.
And if you’re asking yourself…who are these people?? Maybe the band name isn’t ringing any bells but their hits, “That’s Not My Name” and “Shut Up and Let Me Go” should definitely resonate. Did I just get you back? Good!
Their new album Super Critical is a different vibe than what we’re used to hearing from this pop-duo…more of an American late 70s, early 80s disco funk thing going on. Something straight out of Studio 54, it’s super fun and addicting.
Also addicting…their delicious British accents…take a listen for yourself and check out the full interview. lifeminute.tv/music/video/ibiza-usa-ting-tings-do-it-again
My favorite part was when Katie described her personal style as “dressing like a toddler.” Which I guess is true but she pulls it off with ease in a leather romper, lace top, sparkles in her hair, black tights and converse sneakers. LOVE!
Most known musically for his times with The Fugees, Wyclef Jean is back with a new album that brings out his hip hop/reggae sound we love.
He stopped by LifeMinute to share deets on Clefication and gave an impromptu performance of “Gone Till November.” Check it out!
David Garrett is his name and he’s been playing the violin since he was just 4 years old. We caught up with him at the Best Buy Theater in NYC before his concert that night to promote his new crossover album Music.

Matt White paid a visit to our office and even graced us with an acoustic performance of his heart-stealing hit “Love and Affection” (yes THAT song from The Bachelorette this season!). While, we know he can write a killer ballad (remember “Love”?) we learned a few other interesting facts about the New Jersey native…. tune into LifeMinute.TV/Music to catch our interview with the sweet serenader.
We got to sit down with the fabulous Carly Rae Jepsen as she caught us up on her partnership with güd by Burt’s Bees, Summer Kiss Tour and new single with Nicki Minaj! Check out our interview with the “Call Me Maybe” cutie here!
Little Greens Cars parked it in our office yesterday for a little private performance. The Dublin band just played the packed Lollapalooza (one of their fave performances so far) however, we think they might reconsider after rocking out for us!…
Check out their debut album Absolute Zero and stay tuned for our interview with the indie-rock five-piece!
The joy was definitely formidable when we sat down with the cheerful Welsh band at the Music Hall at Williamsburg.
Ritzy, Rhydian and Matt headed for the states tight on cash but big on passion. Now that the group is on their second album, Wolf’s Law, it is clear that their risk paid off.
And what exactly is Wolf’s Law you might ask? We were wondering too… cue Rhydian with a little lesson in biology….
“Wolf’s Law initially is a scientific theory and it talks about how when you put stress on bone on your body your body adapts to deal with it. We kind of borrowed it and made it our own symbol for the record I suppose. “
But besides scientists, the trio also draws inspiration from a wide spectrum of musical artist. Matt is hooked on Frank Zappa, Ritzy digs 90s’ Dance Music, and Rhydian loves our girl Shirley Manson from Garbage!
However, the group told us they are trying to make their own mark…“We want them to go away feeling something” Ritzy explained to us.
Their biggest fear is being “bland”, “nice” and people walking away without an opinion on anything. Don’t worry Ritzy we won’t be forgetting The Joy Formidable anytime soon!
Fun Matt fact: He dreams of songs to write and wakes up in the middle of the night to sing into his phone. Unfortunately 90% of them are crap he says.
They’re back and better than ever! We’re talking the ’90’s alternative rock band, Garbage and we caught up with them in Montclair, NJ at the Wellmont Theater.
This was the first show on the last leg of their tour in support of “Not Your Kind of People”. They were very appreciative of their fans, particularly with the move to their own label for the new album.
They also did a duet with Screaming Females lead guitarist and vocalist – Marissa P – “Because The Night” which they recorded with her for Record Store Day.
