We attended a breakfast event in Arizona + Molly Ringwald hosted the event…so…ipso facto we’re now in The Breakfast Club with the 80’s pop princess!
We sat down with her at the 2015 Mom 2.0 Summit where she shared her Dove #BeautyStory and how for her it all stemmed from confidence within. It starts with having a real strong interior life…not just what’s on the outside. So she turned to creativity to get her through her awkward teenage years. And being a mom this is something she tries to pass along to her own children.

There are a few things we think should be in your beach bag at all times…such as sunscreen, a large brimmed hat and of course a great deodorant.
One we’re really liking right now is Dove Advanced Care deodorant with NutriumMoisture. It not only keeps you dry and odor-free for up to 48 hours, but it also has real skincare benefits. In fact, it’s clinically proven to reduce irritation from shaving and will give you smoother underarms in just three days. Comes in eleven different scents too and is just $4.99 at mass market stores.

There’s a reason why you see the same players over and over again down the beauty aisle–because they work and they’ve worked for years. STAR mag’s Cheryl Kramer Kaye gushed over a few of her favorites in the studio last week.
She first fell in love with Noxzema, as it was her go-to cleanser as a teen. And Dove has been keeping her skin soft and smoothe for years. For her hair, Cheryl turns to Vidal Sassoon, their foaming mousse is amazing.

Two things we really love about summer: the warm sunny temps and cute sundresses and shorts. Two things we hate about the summer: what the sun does to our colored hair and constant shaving and waxing to be able to rock our fav summer get-up. Luckily beauty guru Stacy Cox came through with some tips to eliminate these two big summer bummers.
First, to protect that beautiful, vibrant hair (that you just colored) from sun, water, and heat, Stacy calls on Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Color Protect Spray. “It’s a lightweight, leave-in conditioner that helps preserve and protect your color through the summer and all year long,” says Stacy. We love Vidal Sassoon’s Repair Finish Spray to combat the heat and humidity. Both just under $5 a pop!
For sexy smooth legs, Stacy says to get Sally Hansen Ouch-Relief Wax Strip Kit on your radar! The kit’s pre-wax wipes are pre-treated with benzocaine to reduce pain while waxing (“no pain no gain” needeth not apply here!). And we love how it lasts up to 8 weeks! Grab the whole kit for just $9.99 at drugstores. Voila-hair problems solved!

Over the weekend we hit the west coast for the Mom 2.0 Summit in Laguna Beach, California. It was all about moms talking life, work, and inspiration at the 5th annual conference where we got to chat with new mama Lisa Ling. She recently joined forces with Dove’s® Self-Esteem Project and was at the weekend-long event to launch their “Let’s Make Girls Unstoppable” campaign encouraging positive self-esteem amongst girls.
The host of Our America had some startling statistics to share with us….
We learned six in ten girls stop doing their favorite things because they feel bad about what they look like.
Dove’s® commitment to change this is what drew the mother of baby girl Jett to partner with the brand. “I think about my own daughter. And I’m going to try to do everything in my power to instill beauty and confidence in her,” she said.
That is exactly the same sentiment Dove sets out to share with 15 million girls by 2015 through self-esteem programming and tools. And it was awesome to see the campaign in action as girls from Girls Inc. confidently shared their favorite things about themselves. You go girls!
