Nick and Drew Lachey joined Mark Wahlberg, Duck Dynasty's Willie and Korie Robertson, Tim Gunn, Vera Farmiga and more on the A&E Network's Upfront red carpet on Thursday. The boy band brothers' days of heating things up in the band 98 Degrees are behind them now, as they try to keep things cool behind the bar on their new reality series on FYI Network.
The show will follow the multi-talented guys as they return to their hometown of Cincinnati to open their own bar (name pending...).
"The working title is just Lachey's Bar," Drew explained.
"Tune into the yet-to-be-named show to learn about the yet-to-be-named bar," joked Nick.
The boys might not have a name nailed down, but they are hard at work perfecting their bartending skills.
"I'm pretty good at the lemon drops or the kamikazes," says Drew.
As for Nick's specialty... "I'm a big gin and tonic guy," says The Sing-Off host, "Kind of like an old English lady."
What's Nick up to when he's not behind the bar? "I love going to a baseball game in the summer. It's just one of those things that's kind of like, for me, there's no better way to spend a beautiful afternoon than sitting at the ballpark with a hot dog and a couple of beers," says Nick, who can't wait to take one year-old son Camden along one day.
As for working out, Nick says he tries to hit the cardio machine every day. "Just as your body starts to change and betray you, it's important to remind it that it needs to stay in shape," says the 40 year-old.
And between staying healthy, home life and side projects the busy brothers are thankful that their latest endeavor is a family affair. "We've had the great fortune of being able to work together, and the fact that we still talk to each other kind of shows that it worked so far," says Drew, "You know, we have our family be a part of what we're doing."
And big brother Nick agrees, "You don't want to miss any of the moments of seeing your kids grow up, and sometimes it's about carving out those moments to be with them."
Follow the adventures of the Brothers Lachey, coming soon to the FYI Network.
