Oscars 2015: Beauty Trends

Which two beauty trends ruled the Oscars red carpet?

We can't all look like movie stars, but we can take a cue from their makeup artists and hair stylists as to what hot-off-the-red-carpet beauty trends we'll be seeing a lot of as awards season ends and Spring begins...

Red Lips

The best part about the red lip looks at the Academy Awards are that no two were alike so, when translating the trend from the red carpet to the real world, the field is wide open for you to choose the finish and hue that's right for you. Emma Stone went for a peachy-coral pout, kept in check with Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Rouge Candy. Dakota Johnson's cerise shade was nearly perfectly matched to her gorgeous red gown. Margot Robbie rocked Hourglass' Raven, a matte orange-red lipstick, and Lady Gaga aced her matte crimson lip look with NARS Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Pencil.

Side Parts

Side parts stood apart from the rest on the red carpet -- and they work whether you're wearing your hair up or down. Marion Cotillard sported a side part with her updo, while Best Actress Winner Julianne Moore wore her side part with a low bun. And while Gwyneth Paltrow went with a subtle side part to complement her pulled-back sleek long look, Scandal star Kerry Washington let her hair down with a deep and dramatic side part.
