Singer/songwriter and bona fide British star, Jenn Bostic, has sold 50,000 copies of her record in the UK since February. From the charts to the tube, she's also appeared on every major tv show in England, Ireland, and Scotland. The small town girl from Waconia, Minnesota is going places.

Bostic's latest album released digitally in June. She calls Jealous a "collection of my best work" -- her favorite12 out of 350 she penned, to be exact. One of those labors of love, "Jealous of the Angels," not only made the cut but claimed the album title.

"[The] song is about my dad who passed away when I was 10 years old in a car accident," says an emotional Bostic.

"Jealous of Angels" is also the first single she's created a music video for.

"It was filmed in my hometown at my dad's gravesite and in the house that I grew up in playing the piano he taught me to play."

The video captured an unexpected and touching moment.

"There's a little bit of snow coming down...just the perfect amount, overcast all day long, when we got to his grave the sky just opened up and this little beam of sun just came down. It was absolutely incredible," describes Bostic, "one of those moments that I'll never ever forget."

And the U.K. won't soon forget Bostic's music - her single hit #1 on the UK's singer-songwriter chart.

"It was like the top funeral song in the U.K. this year, which absolutely blows my mind," says Bostic. "You know like to honor somebody's loved one with a song that...god gave me. I feel so blessed."

With songwriting success under her belt, she has lots of insight for aspiring musicians.

"The one piece of advice I can give up to coming artists is play for anyone who will listen," Bostic says.

The Berklee College of Music graduate, gives advice at middle schools and other workshops around the U.S.

"When I go in to do that, that is something I constantly tell the kids," says Bostic, "I'm like if someone will listen to you and a song...let them hear it."

She also advises: "share, share, share...you're constantly learning in those moments."

Bostic did a lot of music sharing of her own when her latest single, "Not Yet" debuted on VEVO homepage, scoring more than 206,000 views within the first 24 hours.

But the winner of five 2012 Independent Country Music Association Awards doesn't plan on quieting down. Bostic dreams of grabbing a Grammy and is working on releasing a new record in Spring 2014.

"I'm really looking forward to that. We have been writing a lot, my producer and I and we've got some fun stuff in the works," she says.

"I love getting back to people, so come find me--we'll be friends," she says.
