You know who we're talking about...that casually, comfortably, oh-so-fashionably dressed family mockingly grinning at you from that new 5 x 7 holiday picture frame you just picked up. They're either jumping in the autumn leaves or smiling in front of a cozy fireplace, always looking so annoyingly well put together. Meanwhile, at this crazy-busy time of year, you consider it a small victory if the kids make it to school with matching socks.

But the key to keeping YOUR family smiling in this year's holiday card photo like those happy, serene, well-dressed folks of photo frame stardom is to think both style AND comfort when putting together your holiday look. And according to Style Expert Rachel Zalis, you can't go wrong with coordinated classics.

"Now, one of the big trends that we're seeing is plaid," says Rachel, who suggests that an oversized plaid shirt with a sleek cut can do double duty for the ladies. "It's a shirt and a jacket," she explains, "You wear it open, buttoned...it's cut a little bit longer for some extra coverage." And for pants to pair with the look, Rachel suggests the ultimate in comfort. "No buttons, no zippers, it's Levi's new Pull On pant; these jeans are so comfortable -- great stretch and a slimming panel in the tummy so you can eat everything you want, feel free. Throw on some great accessories like a floppy hat -- extra flair for your look. Great as a gift, too."

To get the guys in on the look, Rachel likes Levi's icons: the Barstow plaid shirt paired with a Trucker Jacket. "I love the shearling detail in the collar. And the 514 Jean, just a very classic look. They're going to look super cozy and comfy this holiday season," she says.

And dropping temperatures means extra layers -- but you can do it stylishly and without the bulk. "The other thing I love is the sweater collection [from Levi's]," says Rachel, for a layered ladies' look, "This is a big trend; we saw it on all the runways. I love...the Fair Isle; it's great for layering. Pair it with this parka, super warm without any of the bulk, giving you a long, lean silhouette." Pair it with wardrobe staple the Levi's Mid Rise Skinny Jean, available in a lot of washes and super stretchy without stretching out.

When layering for the guys, Rachel says denim on denim can actually work under Levi's Zip up sweater. "We paired it with denim on denim. Classic shirt, the 511 Jeans, a little bit more of a slim cut. Great scarf around the neck, very dashing for the holidays."

And now for the kids... Keeping them comfy is key if you want to keep them smiling. Rachel suggests, "Levi's just launched their Knit collection; both these jeans are from the Knit collection. They're super soft, super comfy. The kids can run around, do all the activities. Pair it with super cute things like a Varsity jacket; I love the pink, it's super girlie. And the boy has the mini versions of the icons, the Barstow plaid shirt and the Trucker Jacket. Everything is great, super family-friendly, great for the holidays!"

Pick up what you need for all of these Levi's looks at Levi.com and at stores nationwide. And then replace that freaking frame family with a holiday photo of a much better smiling and styling family: yours.
