Calling all glam girls... Zang Toi's 25th anniversary collection is a love letter to all of his loyal fashion followers...among them, Whoopi Goldberg.
"Stunningly beautiful," said the celeb, "Flowy and beautiful."
Model-actress Cynthia Bailey agrees. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member marveled over her longtime friend's designs, "Oh my God, amazing as always."
Ironically, the freshest thing about the collection is its consistency. Says designer Zang Toi, "You look at the last 25 [years] at Zang Toi [and] the one key consistency in the collection is glamour and sophistication; that is...the hallmark of Zang Toi."
From the body-skimming dresses to the voluminous ball gowns to the rocker-girl jackets, the collection is drenched in deep, rich hues -- another consistency, Zang Toi adds, that is by design: "I decided to reissue the hot Zang Toi color. I was the first market designer to showcase the hot vibrant color: the hot pink, the hot red, the hot purple [is] to celebrate our 25th year."
Which doesn't mean the designer can't still dazzle us with the unexpected... Zang Toi says, "For the hair and makeup this season, I want[ed] to surprise my audience. Almost, like, no makeup...that healthy glow."
Not to be forgotten are the accessories, as chic as they are practical...among them, "the iconic iPad clutch" and a fabulously functional tote bag.
Perhaps photographer Nigel Barker sums it up best, "High energy. Beautiful gowns. Red carpet. Celebrity... It's every girl's dream to be dressed by Zang. He never fails to deliver."
