Food allergies are higher than ever in the U.S., with nearly 6 million children suffering from dairy, gluten, or soy intolerance. That means kids aren't able to chow down on fun foods and family eating can be difficult. No worries though, because internationally renowned dietician Ashley Koff has tasty allergy friendly alternatives for three of kids' favorite foods!

Pizza

So what is an absolute kid favorite? Pizza of course, but it can be difficult for kids with food allergies to enjoy. To the rescue Daiya-- a company who brings us the first dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free pizza!

"If kids are having their friends over, it can be a challenge to find food that everyone can eat and kids will love," says Ashley, "but Daiya's new pizzas are a great solution."

And if roasted vegetables, shitake and crimini mushrooms, and fresh basil sound good for toppings, Daiya's got you covered!

Daiya, also has new dairy-free cheese slices are the real deal! They melt, stretch and taste just like dairy-based cheese, so allergy sufferers feel free to put it on that burger or on your fav sandwich and enjoy!

Ice cream

Dairy allergies can be extremely tough at dessert time for kids and adults alike. However, SO Delicious brand (which is dairy and egg-free!) has an extensive line of foods that live up to its name.

How do they do it? Ashley explains, "the coconut line is made with organic coconuts" which make it taste like the real thing AND the line is certified vegan and GMO-free.

They even have a no-sugar added coconut milk ice creams (sweetened with monk fruit and only 1 gram of sugar per serving). SO Delicious also has the world's ONLY gluten-free cookie dough ice cream! Scoop it up!

Snack Bars

When snack time rolls around kids love to munch on the quick go-to snack bar. Ashley's allergy-free option is KIND bars. She says, "They are made with ingredients you can see and pronounce!"

Grab the delectable tasting (and looking!) bars in flavors like the new maple glazed pecan and sea salt --high in protein, fiber and approved by all ages!
