Hair Guru and Star of Bravo's Reality Hit "Tabatha's Salon Takeover," Tabatha Coffey, tells us how to win $100,000 in the Matrix Mannequin Mania contest...as well as what's hot for summer hair!

So Tabatha tell us about this contest?

Tabatha: Well this competition is open to all stylists so if you're just starting out or you're a seasoned hairdresser there's a category for you. All you need to do is grab a mannequin head and get creative. Do what you do best! The prizes are incredible. You could win $100,000 and a day with me!

What are some hot styles for summer?

Tabatha: What we're seeing for summer is more "oomph" and more tousled and textured hair. We're seeing mermaid waves, low-side partings...there's definitely a more '40's feel coming back into hair. Longer hair has a lot more texture, a lot more movement and it's not as structured.

Any special colors, highlights for the season?

Tabatha: The color that's hot at the moment goes from fabulous blondes, ranging from platinum to really natural golden hues. For brunettes, there's a lot of dimension running through the hair. Chestnut, caramel, chocolates, beautiful tones working their way through. And for the adventurous out there, try pops of color like red and lavender. They're really hot for this season as well.

How do you know what works for your face shape?

Tabatha: A professional is always there to help you. We all have featured we want to bring out and other features that we want to diminish. The right hairstyle can do that for you.
