Three-time Olympic medalist snowboarder Kelly Clark reached the pinnacle of her industry, but was plagued by acne so severe it made her hesitant to take off her mask and goggles. Here's how she beat the problem that left her hopeless for decades.

"Something people don't know about me is that I've struggled with severe nodular acne since I was a teen," says the skier. "It's commonplace to get acne when you're a teen, but I essentially just never grew out of it. I thought it would just go away. I became increasingly insecure and I think as a snowboarder it's really interesting because the only area that people actually see of me is my face. And that was the most insecure place for me."

Clark tried many products to improve her severe, painful acne to no avail and thought the situation was hopeless until she found a product called Absorica. The prescription oral treatment lasts for five months, and doesn't require a change in lifestyle.

"I didn't change my diet or training schedule. The pill was non-invasive to my life." The best part? "I had a transformation to my skin like I didn't think was possible. My self-confidence increased. How much time I spent thinking about what people think of me decreased."

She continues: "When I get down to the bottom of my half pipe I am no longer ashamed and embarrassed to lift my face mask and put my goggles up. I thought acne was something I had to live with and Absorica changed that for me. It's transformed my self-confidence and it's transformed my skin."
