They came, they saw, they...concurred. Now presenting a rundown of the hot-off-the-runway trends we'll be seeing this Spring, according to the fabulous fashion editors who descended upon Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week...

Go "a little bit" retro

With all eyes looking ahead to Spring 2015, turning back time came as a nice surprise to Marie Claire Creative Director Nina Garcia. "Some unexpected trends," mused Garcia, "You know, a little bit of a 50s feel." Susan Kaufman, People StyleWatch Editor, agrees, "[We saw] a lot of very feminine silhouettes like full skirts -- really knee-length, a little bit retro-feeling."

Go on safari

Let your wardrobe go wild this Spring with safari-inspired fashion, tempered by muted, earthy tones. Both Garcia and Harper's Bazaar Editor-in-Chief Glenda Bailey noted the trend, with Bailey adding, "We've seen...also a lot of pale khaki, or biscuit color."

Go to the gym

InStyle Fashion Director Cindy Weber-Cleary was among the fashion editors who pointed out that athletic detailing, for better or worse, appears here to stay. "I feel like the athletic trend has been so dominant for a while," said Weber-Cleary, "It just keeps on going." Exactly how far has it gone? Think sneakers on the runway -- yes, sneakers. Still, studded strappy heels and sassy flats got their fair share of mileage on the runway as well.

Go girly

"Of course, there's always that touch of black and white through everything," said Glenda Bailey, but pastels had a more prominent place in the Spring 2015 collections. Lucky Editor-in-Chief Eva Chen is a fan of the pretty palette. "[We're seeing] a lot of creamy tones," said Chen, "So, pale pinks -- super, super pale pinks -- almost to the point where it's white, and just beautiful creams.

Go throw on another layer

Adding layers? For Spring? Jasmine Snow, Seventeen Senior Fashion Editor, didn't expect it, either. "I'm seeing a lot of layers, which I was surprised by," said Snow, "It's kind of refreshing that people are still using layers." Though these layers are lighter...ethereal and airy, as seen on flowing dresses and voluminous skirts.

You can go your own way

While Fashion Week was peppered with the unexpected, it was Glenda Bailey who stumbled upon what might be the sweetest surprise in terms of trends. "What I like is the idea that we're all clearly on trend," she said, "We all can wear everything, depending on our personal style."
