We caught up with the “Bubbly” singer, Colbie Caillat, backstage at the Badgley Mischka show, looking effortlessly chic in Mark and James. She dished about out her beauty and style must-haves and what to expect from her highly anticipated fifth album–we can’t wait!
What have you been up to lately?
Colbie Caillat: I’m writing for my new album right now–there’s already a ton of songs, about thirty-something!
Will the new record still have your signature sound?
CC: I want to make a classic rock record, but obviously the new style, which is a mix of Simon and Garfunkel with Crosby, Stills & Nash with The Lumineers. Yes, that the direction I’m going.
Who would you LOVE to collaborate with?
CC: Coldplay. Coldplay would be amazing. I love them. I love their music.
What do you like to do for fun?
CC: Hiking with my dog, my friends.
What are your beauty obsessions?
CC: I always love lip gloss, but it has to be dewy kind of look.
Have any fashion favorites?
CC: I like bright colors that are very matchy. For example, at the last event, I wore a bright yellow dress with matching yellow heels. Stuff like that is kind of fun.
