This year, for the first time ever, in an effort to connect, the designer tried a different approach to NYFW with an open studio day for his public and fashion lovers of all kinds, NYC residents and tourists.  His new line examines what New York style is.  “Essentially neighborhoods feel like different cultures and different countries here.  The thing about New York Style is, there’s not a particular silhouette or a particular fabric, it’s a combination of form and function," he says. "It’s a city where the best of the best come to hustle, and you need clothes that work for you and it’s every day clothes for every day heroes and heroines.”
