Kristin Chenoweth, Patricia Clarkson and Kelly Rutherford celebrated the designer’s romantic new collection inspired by Norway’s dramatic fjords and colorful coastal villages

Pamella Roland brought the beauty of Norway to New York Fashion Week with her Spring/Summer 2027 runway show at Metropolitan Pavilion on September 11. Patricia Clarkson, Kristin Chenoweth, Kelly Rutherford, Jaimie Alexander and Krys Marshall were among the stars in attendance.
Inspired by Roland’s recent family trip to Norway, the collection captured the contrast between dramatic fjords, brightly painted villages and refined Scandinavian elegance. Butter yellow, meadow green, vibrant fjord blue and rich jewel tones appeared alongside airy pastels, intricate embroidery and luxurious metallic textures.
Chenoweth praised Roland’s ability to create glamorous fashion for women across generations, while Rutherford highlighted the beauty and wearability of her designs. Clarkson, who has worn Roland for years, arrived in a custom dress created by the designer. Nigel Barker also reflected on the brand’s growth from a relatively unknown label to a red-carpet favorite seen at the Emmys, Oscars and Golden Globes.
The runway featured sculptural necklines, bubble hems, pleated ruffles and architectural bustiers. Standout looks included a caped column gown hand-embroidered with cascading blue and yellow ombré feathers and a strapless tulle wedding gown adorned with asymmetric draping and blooming three-dimensional organza flowers.
As Chenoweth put it, Roland does “glitz and glamour like nobody else.”

Pamella Roland: Hi, I'm Pamella Roland and you're watching LifeMinuteTV. Kristin Chenoweth: She's my favorite. Pamella fits the younger woman and also women of a certain age, and I really, really appreciate that about her. And I like the way she's pushing herself to add a few more additions to make it a little bit younger in some ways.
Kelly Rutherford: Everything she does is very wearable and you feel so beautiful. It's so nice. Patricia Clarkson: I've been wearing Pamella for so many years, you know, and I love her. She made this dress for me today and I feel very lucky.
Pamella Roland: The inspiration is actually Norway. I took a trip with my family a year ago. It just brought lots of color and ideas. The waters were so blue.
The sky was so blue. You'll see when you go inside umbrellas that were wired over the street and went for, you know, as long as I could see. So, I thought "That's what I'm going to put in my show." Michelle Webb: The collection is really beautiful. Lots of different colors.
Gary Baker: What I like about Pam's shows is that it's not about the hair. The hair is just there to act as an accessory to the dresses. Nigel Barker: It's been 20 years now I've been coming to Pamella Roland shows. I've watched the Pamella Roland line go from being a line where no one had heard about it at the Emmys or the Oscars or the Golden Globes to now she dresses everybody.
Kristin Chenoweth: She does glitz and glamour like nobody else. Nobody does a sequin or a bedazzle like her. Pamella Roland: I have a lot of favorites actually. There's a black dress that's got kind, it's just a simple one with some beading here.
There's another black dress that has like a big pink puff sleeve. The last look is a wedding dress and it's a very unique wedding dress. There's so many different embellishments and beading and different fabrics.
