New Music: Paul McCartney, Eric Church, Greta Van Fleet and Norah Jones

This week’s music releases include remixes and covers of Sir Paul McCartney's hits, a trilogy from country crooner, Eric Church, hard-hitting rock from Greta Van Fleet and live sounds from Grammy-winner, Norah Jones.

Sir Paul McCartney's latest release McCartney III Imagined, is an interesting remake of the album he recorded during lockdown 2020, McCartney III. This time, the 12-track album features remixes and covers by other artists including; Beck, Dominic Fike, St. Vincent, Josh Homme, Damon Albarn, Phoebe Bridgers, and more.

Heart is the first installment of Country star, Eric Church's Heart & Soul trilogy. This ambitious project is tied in with two other albums due out later this month.  Soul and "&" a vinyl fan club only release. Church and his band recorded the 28 songs in 28 days in a restaurant they converted to a music studio in Banner Elk, North Carolina.

Michigan-born rockers Greta Van Fleet are keeping the flame of Classic Rock alive with their latest, The Battle at Garden's Gate. Taking their cue from such rock giants as Led Zeppelin and Rush, they’ve doubled down on their hard - hitting sound with this new record. The single "My Way Soon" released in October 2020, hit #1 in January 2021 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.

'Til We Meet Again is Norah Jones' first-ever live album culled from performances all over the world including; Argentina, Brazil, France, Italy and the US from 2017-2019. It also spans her entire career ranging from her multi-Grammy winning debut in 2002, to her most recent single "I'll Be Gone.” The album closes with her version of Soundgarden’s "Black Hole Sun" which she recorded just days after the passing of Chris Cornell.
