In the wake of former bandmate Liam Payne’s death, Zayn Malik has postponed the U.S. leg of his upcoming tour. The “Stairway to the Sky” tour was set to kick off on Tuesday, October 23 at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and travel across the United States through November 3. The former One Direction singer made the announcement in a statement posted to Instagram on Saturday, just four days before the tour’s debut. While exact dates have yet to be announced, Malik confirmed to fans that the shows will be moved to January and all tickets already purchased will remain valid for the new dates.

Six-time Olympic champion Chris Hoy diagnosed with terminal cancer
The 46-year-old cyclist shared his initial diagnosis in an Instagram post in February, but is just now revealing the severity of the cancer. In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Hoy revealed that his diagnosis is terminal, but he remains optimistic for the road ahead. The six-time Olympic gold medalist echoed his message of positivity in a social media post Saturday, writing “I just wanted to reassure you all that I’m feeling fit, strong and positive, and overwhelmed by all the love and support shown to my family and me.” Throughout his career, Hoy has represented Great Britain at four consecutive Olympic games from 2000 to 2012, taking home six gold medals across Athens, Beijing, and London, and earning a silver in Sydney’s 2000 games.
