Timothée Chalamet crashes viral look-alike contest in NYC surprising fans
The event, which drew hundreds to NYC’s Washington Square Park on Sunday, grew attention on social media in the last month after flyers were scattered throughout the city with an RSVP QR code and a promise of a $50 grand prize. The star, who has recently been spotted around the city while filming upcoming A24 film Marty Supreme, made a surprise appearance just before the crowd was dispersed by police. The contest was organized by YouTube personality Anthony Po, and resulted in a $500 fine from the NYPD due to a lack of proper permits with one arrest made. Despite interference by law enforcement, a winner was still crowned.

National First Responders Day is honored in the U.S.
Celebrated annually on October 28, National First Responders Day honors the men and women who serve and protect our communities across the country. The holiday was officially recognized in 2019 after legislation was passed by a bipartisan group of U.S. senators dedicating the special day to those who work on the frontlines in a time of crisis. Celebrate the holiday by acknowledging the hard working firefighters, police officers, and paramedics in your own community, thanking them for their dedicated service and bravery.
National Chocolate Day is also celebrated
While Halloween may be everyone’s favorite day to indulge in a sweet treat, National Chocolate Day is yet another great excuse to go out and grab an extra bag of goodies. Whether you prefer your chocolate bitter or extra sweet, this special holiday recognizes all kinds of the cocoa based treats. Celebrate by picking up a candy bar at your local grocery store or bake a chocolate based dessert at home.
