Want to RoC some gorgeous, glowing skin this winter? (Yes, we spelled that right -- read on and you'll see!) Turns out your favorite celebrities have just as tough a time as you do dealing with skin freak-outs due to seasonal weather changes. But, their solutions are surprisingly simple.

"Wash your face at night," says actress Cara Santana, "Always take off your makeup; that's the best tip."

As for actress Jennifer Morrison... "I drink tons of water, and I know everyone says that, but it really does make a difference."

So where have you heard this skin care advice before? Oh, that's right: EVERYWHERE. Could it be that when it comes to glowing skin, celebrities' "secrets" aren't actually secrets at all? SELF Magazine Beauty Director Elaine D'Farley explains, "It's true what the celebrities say: eating right, exercising, drinking a lot of water, getting a lot of good rest. It all helps because beauty starts from within, and it's all about feeling good. And when you feel good, you look good."

...Which isn't to say we can just let the "outside" fend for itself. Beauty may start on the inside, but especially in the winter, it helps to give your skin some extra attention. "You want to make sure that you exfoliate at least twice a week," D'Farley tells us, "Avoid really hot water in the shower because it can be really drying to your skin. And stick to a good anti-aging routine."

Here's where products come into play...but which ones and when do you apply? D'Farley says, "Serums are a really great booster for your skin that you can add to your routine underneath your moisturizer to give added benefits. A good go-to is RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Serum; it has an exclusive combination of pure retinol and an essential mineral complex that's clinically shown to visibly reduce even deep wrinkles after just twelve weeks." D'Farley suggests applying the serum after cleansing and before moisturizing or applying makeup. The best part? You can get it at Walgreens for $23.

And when it comes to your makeup routine, keeping it as simple as those celebrity secrets is also the way to go. D'Farley says, "Apply concealer with your ring finger because it helps warm up the concealer, and you can press it gently into the under eye circles you might have, or your red spots, to get a really flawless look. And then a swipe of hydrating lipstick can finish off the look." For lips, a bright color provides a perfect pick-me-up. A neutral shade is best for a more polished pulled-together look.

So, it really is that simple for you to get luminous celebrity skin...and don't worry, THAT secret is safe with us.
