It's the season of giving back...beauty expert, Jenn Falik shares some of the world's most respected beauty brands and how they are doing they're part to give back to people in need....and how you can too. Its breast cancer awareness month and beauty brand Ulta is celebrating their annual Donate with a Kiss campaign to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation(R). The store windows will be covered in kisses, an international symbol of love, with each kiss representing a $1.00 donation in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation(R). There are also limited edition items. Jenn likes the Stila "Courage & Beauty" palette exclusively at Ulta beauty stores for $16, with $1 from each sale donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. They are also having cut-a-thon in the salon on Sunday, October 14th, from 11am to 6pm....for a minimum, suggested donation of $10, you get a shampoo, cut and style by professionally trained stylists. One hundred percent of cut-a-thon proceeds are donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Check out ulta.com/donatewithakiss for more info.Another brand that's doing some good is skincare giant Cetaphil. They began their first-ever charity partnership with Camp Wonder, a medically-staffed summer camp for children who suffer from serious skin diseases. Its a week-long camp funded by the Children's Skin Disease Foundation and gives children with skin diseases the opportunity to just be kids without having to feel insecure with their appearances. A portion of the proceeds of the special edition moisturizing cream will go to camp wonder. Jenn loves this creme because it provides intense moisturization and is really great for the cold winter months when skin can become dry and irritated. The product is fragrance free and non-comedogenic so it won't clog pores or irritate sensitive skin....Find it at Walgreens, only $14.99. For more info or to donate go to cetaphil on facebook or csdf.orgThe french skincare company Votre Vu, just released its premier color collection called, French Accents, it has revolutionary anti-aging properties, and handcrafted with all natural ingredients. Jenn calls it "healthy makeup."And they're donating $1 from every product sold to Pediatric Cancer Treatment through the St. Baldrick's foundation. Check out votrevu.com for more info. Now even in fall...there are many times when women need a clinical strength deodorant, for special occasions, stressful situations or even traveling. So Jenn recommends Dove Clinical Protection, a multi-purpose 24 hour anti-perspirant/deodorant that also moisturizes skin. With a mission to empower women to feel confident and self-assured...the brand is taking that mission one step further by celebrating their Third Annual Dove Self-Esteem weekend Oct 5th thru the 7th. With every purchase of a Dove product, you will be supporting the Dove Movement for Self-Esteem...Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Girls Inc., and Girls Scouts of America.
