There's a new line of body care products from mark, the fashion and beauty brand. They feature fair trade certified ingredients, making these products not just good for our bodies, but also good for the lives of people around the globe. Maya Spaull, Director of Innovation, New Category Development, Transfair USAFair trade is a market base solution to poverty alleviation. It's trade, not aid. And the idea is that producers in the global south, in Asia, Africa, Latin America, align with buyers here in the unites states to create a more equitable model of trade. By buying fair trade certified products, you can contribute to a better world. All you have to do is look for the fair trade certified label. For every product sold from the fair trade body collection, mark will commit funds for community projects to empower farmers and farm workers across the globe, help protect their local environments and lift themselves out of poverty.Claudia Poccia Global President, mark We have a mission towards social responsibility and empowerment of young women and we saw this as an opportunity to do well and to help other women around the globe and at the same time deliver world class products that are good for the body and good for everybody.Gail Boye, VP of Product Development, markWhen we heard about fair trade and we were explained about the cause and the mission, we really knew that it was going to be a perfect fit. Once we decided that we wanted to be partners with Transfair USA, we realized that there was such a short list of ingredients that could be used for body care. Because the fair trade history is so much in food, we realized that we really needed to expand the amount of products that could be used for the formulation of these items. The collection consists of four body care products including a cleanser, body lotion, body cream and body balm. Their formulas incorporate the world's highest-quality fair trade certified ingredients sourced from countries across the globe such as vanilla from India, cocoa butter from Peru and chamomile from Egypt. The body loving products soothe, hydrate, comfort and care for skin. Each product is less than $15 and can be found at meetmark.com or through a mark rep.
