Purples, greens and blues will rule the runways and red carpets this Fall

This Fall, look out for bright, saturated color gracing the lids of 'it' girls from coast to coast. But never fear, anyone can wear this look with advice from the pros.

Color Resurgence

What is the inspiration for this new color resurgence? "It's the '70s meets '20s. Those were definitely some of the times that women were experimenting with makeup, wearing lots of makeup and lots of color," says makeup artist Myiesha Sewell. Of-the-moment hues include purples, peacock greens, blues, shifting bronzes to greens. There are no rules. "It's kind of a free for all, whatever works for the girl," says Sewell.

Wearing Them Well

The easiest way to wear these daring colors, says Sewell, is to sweep a shimmery color across the lid--most makeup artists agree that shimmer is a little bit easier to wear than matte, or try applying a pop of color to the lash line. "We're using a lot of Urban Decay shimmery pencils. Just putting that on with a little bit of extra mascara is going to be cool," she says. "It's just such a gorgeous look and I think each girl wears it really nicely.."
