How to get this fall's hottest hair trends? Antonio Corral Calero, Global Ambassador for MoroccanOil fills us in on the art-inspired, braided and bunned up 'dos.
Artistic Inspiration
Look no further than your nearest art gallery. The inspiration for the look-of-the-moment came from a well-known artist from the 1800s. "His name of the artist is John Singer Sargent. We looked to him to spark our creativity, then recreated a look that is another version," says Antonio Corral Calero, Global Ambassador for MoroccanOil.
The secret? Confidence. "You have to wear a certain outfit that is going to be all about the outfit. So the hair becomes secondary," he says.
Not Your Basic Bun
How to create a knot with that cool-girl edge? Calero recommends creating a middle part, then pulling strands back into a little ponytail. "Everything is swept to the back and then take that ponytail and you twist it. You put a lot of the Luminous Hairspray and twist it until you create a little knot. Make it your own depending on the length that you have. You make it really cool and tight. Then you just bring the little broken pieces that everybody has--I call them the permanent bangs--and leave then floating around." Voila! Take to the streets rocking a top style of the season.
Real-Girl Inspo
"We see it in the streets. I get inspired by all of you guys. When I go to the streets and I see the girls with the buns. You know it's all about making it real. It's about simplicity at its best," says the stylist.
