Join Cheryl Kramer Kaye from SHAPE Magazine as she gives advice on your Spring Survival Guide. First up, a popular hair fix from celebrity stylist Rita Hazan.
"Rita Hazan does hair color for top celebrities such as Beyonc, Madonna, Jessica Simpson and also, me!", says Kramer Kaye. "Rita has been coloring my hair for ten years. I'm the luckiest girl alive. And people are always saying to me, 'Cheryl, I love your naturally red hair.' Guess what? It is naturally brown!"
A Fast Fix
No matter what our color is at the moment, there are times in-between appointments when those natural-colored strands and yes, some grays, start to peek through. That's the time to reach for the Rita Hazan Temporary Gray Root Touch Up Concealer.
There are five different shades. Simply spray the can from about six inches away onto your roots. It instantly covers those browns, those grays, and it won't come off until you wash your hair. "The root concealer is the number one selling prestige hair color product. No surprise. And it's also celebrating it's five year anniversary. Frankly I do not know what I did before this one came along," says Kramer Kaye.

A Triple Threat
Hazan's Triple Threat Remedy is another product to check out. "Obviously it does three things. It seals existing split ends, repairs damage from heat tools and coloring and finally protects your hair against future damage. You just work a dime-sized drop into your damp hair before styling or you can use it on dry hair as sort of a smoothing lotion," says Kramer Kaye.
It's available exclusively at Sephora stores for $30.
Foundation Perfection
Next up is glowing skin for summer. "The key is finding the shade of foundation that matches your skin perfectly. Maybe the one you had for winter is a little too light. Or maybe you got a new one for summer and it's a little dark. What are you going to do?"
Smart Solution
The Body Shop has Shade Adjusting Drops. Put one drop of the lightening option or one drop of the darkening and it instantly transforms your foundation to your perfect shade. You can also use these drops for the new current, cool contrast trend. "Use a darkening drop under your cheekbone, and one of the lightening drops on top and you'll have beautiful, sculpted cheeks," according to the expert.
Buy them for $20 at The Body Shop stores or at thebodyshop-usa.com.
All-Over Sun Protection
"We all talk about protecting our skin in the summer. But we often forget about our eyes. Transitions Lenses blocks 100% of harmful UV rays," she says. These are a great way to upgrade glasses; they fit into just about any frames and come in a variety of on-trend colors such as gray, brown, and graphite green.
"And the cool thing about Transitions lenses is that they adapt to the changing light conditions. So when you're indoors they are clear, when you step outside into the sunlight, they darken. And that is when they're going to reduce glare, eye fatigue and strain."
