The 2013 Tony Awards
The 67th annual Tony Awards took place Sunday in New York City. Actor, Neil Patrick Harris, once again took to the Radio City Music Hall stage to host Broadway's biggest night.
The excitement kicked off on preshow on the red carpet. "This is my Thanksgiving, my Christmas, so I get to be with my family and it's wonderful," said Harvey Fierstein whose musical, Kinky Boots won best musical.
Cyndi Lauper also won best original score for Kinky Boots. "There's no place like home," the singer said referring to Broadway and she began to cry.
And feelings of camaraderie amongst the Broadway community were also whelming. "It's a celebration of our community and I'm really happy to be here," said Actress, Judith Light who won best performance by an actress in a featured role in a play for The Assembled Parties.
