2019 Emmy Awards Wrap Up: Mandy Moore Stuns, Patricia Arquette/Michelle Williams' Winning Speeches and GOT Takes a Final Emmy

The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards kicked off in LA last night with some pretty killer looks on the purple carpet

Mandy Moore might not have taken home the award for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, but the This is Us star won big in the fashion and beauty category, looking stunning head to toe...in an off-the-shoulder Brandon Maxwell. Pink and red … the winning color combo of the night …

On to the awards---- Lead Actress, in a Limited Series or Movie, Michelle Williams, wins for Fosse/Verdon and made a plea for equal pay for women during her acceptance speech “"And so the next time a woman and especially a woman of color—because she stands to make 52 cents on the dollar compared to her white, … male counterpart.  Believe her.”

Patricia Arquette, winning Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for The Act, gave a touching tribute to late sister Alexis, “I’m in mourning every day of my life, Alexis, and I will be the rest of my life for you, until we change the world so that trans people are not persecuted.”

Best Actress in a Drama went to Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer and Pose’s Billy Porter took home Best Actor in the same category.

Ozark stars also took home the gold… Julia Garner for best supporting actress and Jason Bateman for Directing.

While Best Actor in a comedy was awarded to Bill Hader for Barry and Best Actress in a comedy went to Phoebe Waller-Bridge for her role in Fleabag, which she also created. The show also won for Outstanding Comedy Series.

The SNL team took home the win for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series, the show’s 72nd Emmy.

And, recently wrapped, Game of Thrones, won big, one last time, for Outstanding Drama Series.
