We caught up with Derek Hough at the Upfronts VIP after party at the Bowery Hotel in New York City recently. The dancer, choreographer, actor and singer, will return as judge of the second season of the hit show World of Dance alongside Executive Producer Jennifer Lopez, NE-YO and host Jenna Dewan. The show spotlights the world's top dancers, as they compete in different styles to win a prize of $1 million.
The series, which first debuted last summer, spotlights the world's top dancers, as they compete in various dance styles to win a prize of $1 million. The competition was so fierce last year that fans took to Twitter to express outrage when popular group Jabbawockeez were sent home and again when the judges chose French duo Les Twins as the winners over Eva Igo. So will this season deliver the same caliber of dancing? Absolutely, according to Derek who calls this season's talent "remarkable," making it no surprise the show has already been renewed for a third season. Catch the second season on NBC starting May 29th.
Besides scooping on the show, Hough also shared how he stays in shape, fought acne when he was younger, and how he didn't want to dance at first, but his four female siblings pressured him into it. We and the rest of the world, are so glad they did. Watch.
