Highlights from the virtual 2020 Primetime Emmy awards from the Staples Center in LA last night? Host Jimmy Kimmel delivered his opening monologue to an audience of cardboard cutout celebs. Pal Jennifer Aniston was the nights’ first presenter.
Netflix Comedy Schitt’s Creek set an Emmy record sweeping a total of nine awards.
David Letterman presented the award for Outstanding Variety Talk Series, but not before he repeated some of his one-liners from when he hosted himself in 1986. He even wore the same tuxedo.
And 24-year-old, Zendaya became the youngest winner ever for Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama, for her portrayal of Rue Bennett in HBO’s Euphoria, beating favorite Jennifer Aniston for The Morning Show.
