Matt Damon and Marion Cotillard Honored at 2012 Gotham Independent Film Awards

Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard, Jack Black, Emily Blunt and a slew of other celebs showed up at The Independent Film Project's (IFP) 22nd annual Gotham Independent Film Awards, in New York City. These are the first honors to kick off the film awards season. It's a celebration of independent film makers with awards and acknowledgments for the films that they've worked on. The Gotham Awards were the first awards ceremony that Matt Damon attended 15 years go and now him and and Marion Cotillard were honored with career achievement tributes for their amazing work throughout their careers thus far in promoting independent films.Jack Black told us that we should pump up independent films because that's where the real art is being made.
