Once Upon a Time Star Ginnifer Goodwin Kicks-Off the LISTERINE 21-Day Challenge

Ginnifer Goodwin better known as Snow White on ABC'S Once Upon a Time takes a break from Fairy Tale Land and the Evil Queen to join forces (for good) with LISTERINE. What made you want to be a part of the LISTERINE 21-Day Challenge?

There are children all across America who don't get any dental care. They don't have toothbrushes, they can't sleep, they can't eat, they are not going to school and this is something that we need to bring attention to. There is something we can do to help.

What have you learned about oral health that has shocked you?

I had no idea that by brushing alone you are missing 75% of your mouth. I had no idea that there are more germs in your mouth than there are people on the planet, that nearly half adults have gum disease and don't even know it. And all you have to do is swish with Listerine Ultraclean Antiseptic and you can improve gum health by up to fives times in two weeks, by up to 9 times in 4 weeks and virtually clean 100% of your mouth.

What else have you been up to?

I am filming Once Upon a Time in Vancouver, Canada. It takes us nine months to create a season. Right now we're about three fourths of the way through Season 2. And I am horseback riding through the woods in ball gowns shooting bows and arrows, playing with Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, learning about things like the death of Snow White's mother who may or may not have been murdered.

What else can we expect from Season 2? Any inside details?

I am exploring the conflict between Snow White and Prince Charming. Prince Charming wants to go back to Fairy Tale Land Snow White wants to stay in Storybooke, Maine. We have a lot of juicy things in store this season!

What do you do when you are not playing Snow White?

In my spare time I play with my friends a lot. We go to Disney Land a lot. We sit in front of the fireplace. We play games. I love embroidering, I love reading I love watching old movies. I'm obsessed with the TV series Downton Abbey. Um I play a lot with my friends in Vancouver when we're not working we do things like go to ballet classes, and Pilate classes, or take walks.

What are some of your own health tips and beauty secrets?

I guess kind of commonsense things that my grandmother taught me. I get a lot of sleep, I drink a lot of water, I don't over wash my face and I don't pick at anything. Um right now I'm watching my face with organic extra virgin coconut oil, which is something everybody can do. I have jars of it all over my house you can use it for everything. Um I would say that those are my biggest beauty secrets.

What advice can you give us on fashion? How do you rock that short hair cut?

I make my own shampoo though it doesn't smell very good and that is something that I'm working on. Fashion wise I believe in tailoring all of my clothes, I think everyone should tailor their clothes. No item of clothing you buy off a rack is made to fit any one persons body. And I would say I live by all of those things. I think it is very important to invest in a very good haircut no matter what haircut it is. And I love having short hair, I'm exceptionally lazy. I don't like spending a lot of time fussing about with longer hair. UM...and this is very me... I embrace my cowlicks I have a straightening iron ultimately I spend about two minutes in the morning styling it. It's a blessed haircut.

What does your future hold? Will we be seeing you in movies again?

Oh my gosh! I don't know, I don't know what is to be expected of the future. I'm going to continue to work on Once Upon a Time for as long as we can stay on the air. Um... I am going to continue to try to make movies when I find things that speak to me as much as Once Upon a Time has and uh otherwise I will keep trying to find causes that are close to my heart and uh get the word out.
