Hollywood's leading ladies stole the 85th Academy Awards show with stunning old Hollywood-esque looks. Two of the front-runners adorned glamorous white and washed dresses. Best Supporting Actress, Anne Hathaway in a silky pale pink Prada and Jennifer Lawrence in white Dior Haute Couture. Rocking a sleek short hair cut (for her upcoming film) Charlize Theron also took part in the white Dior trend, in a crisp white peplum number and later on in an off-white gown, when the former ballerina graced the stage for a dance number with Channing Tatum. The red carpet also saw several shoulder exposers. Reese Witherspoon in a strapless royal blue Louis Vuitton, and best Actress nominee Jessica Chastain in a futuristic custom Armani Prive gold gown.Gold was not the only metallic color gleaming on the red carpet. Best Actress in a Leading Role nominee, Naomi Watts wore a glittery asymmetric Armani Prive gown. While once Bond girl, Halle Berry honored 50 years of the Bond franchise in a metallic floor length black and silver Versace.Ruffles make a comeback, Nominee Amy Adams, didn't take the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, but she looked like a winner in an Oscar de la Renta fitting bodice gown with dramatic ruffle skirt. Jennifer Garner looked elegant in a dark purple Gucci gown with ruffle embellishments as she supported husband Ben Affleck who directed and starred in Argo, which took the award of the night; Best Picture.
