What If Meryl Streep Joined Orange Is The New Black?

The cast of our favorite Netflix show has a few ideas of what three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep could do in an orange jumpsuit

From The French Lieutenant's Woman and Sophie's Choice to The Devil Wears Prada and The Iron Lady, Meryl Streep's spectrum of roles is endless. So when we spotted a few members from the cast of Orange Is The New Black attend the red carpet premiere of Streep's latest big screen flick, Ricki And The Flash, we asked them: What would happen if Meryl Streep joined their hit Netflix show?

"I think that she and Red would have a really hard time and I would be all for that," says actress Selenis Leyva, who plays Latina ringleader Gloria Mendoza. "I think Gloria would thrive on just sitting back and watching it go. And I would want to make her an honorary Latina. I'm sure she could an accent going. She's the queen of that, so she'd have no problem," laughs Leyva.

"I think she'd have an identity crisis and think she's Latina. She'd come with us. Is that what Selenis said? " joked actress Jackie Cruz, who plays Marisol 'Flaca' Gonzales. Um, yes...pretty much the same thing!

Actress Lea Delaria, who plays Big Boo, has a different idea: "I'm sure that Big Boo's going to have a prison wife at some point, and it ought to be Meryl Streep--just saying."
