It's International Coffee Day...here are some tips for making the best cup of java, all by yourself at-home.

•Use fresh ground beans if possible.

•Store beans in the bag they came in, away from direct sunlight. You can also freeze your beans for longevity.

•Only pull out the amount you need for each pot and then store the rest to avoid condensation forming on the beans which will age them faster.

•Use cold filtered water versus tap.

•Use about two tablespoons of ground coffee to every six ounces of water for a perfect pot.
