Everything from sophisticated streetwear to chain-mail dresses had a chance to shine at New York Fashion Week's Art Hearts Fashion show to benefit the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Established in 2011 by Designer and Philanthropist Erik Rosete, Art Hearts Fashion has grown to become a premiere platform for artistic designers to showcase their collections, garnering support from celebrities and designers across the country.
"This will be the last show to ever take place at Lincoln Center and under the Mercedes-Benz title. We all get together and support a great cause which is the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, so we really build a lot of awareness in the younger community," says Rosete.
Mister Triple X, Hallie Sara and Mimi Tran were a few of the fresh, artistic brands participating in the event, among others... "Everyone really comes together to put on a really great show," says Rosete, "The Costellos with MT Costello are dressing every celebrity in town. Walter Mendez is on his way up, he's dressing all of the housewives. House of Byfield came here from the Netherlands to support the cause [and] younger designers like House of LiJon, which is all chains, so they're making [chains] into cool couture dresses."
"Every designer here is telling their own unique story," adds Rosete, "But we're all coming together to tell one big story, which is Art Hearts Fashion, and fashion has a heart, and we can all work together to collaborate to show on the biggest stage of fashion."
