Badgley Mischka Spring 2015: Effervescently Elegant
Anika Noni Rose and Katrina Bowden fall in love with the gorgeous gowns
To please the ladies this Spring, the designs were kept light and luminous.
"We really focused on keeping the fabrics and the garments really super light, even though there was a lot of volume in some of the pieces," says James Mischka.
The dresses are done in organza, gazar and light summer tweed, each containing an element of shine.
"There is a certain degree of effervescence in every piece," says Mark Badgley.
The hair continues the motif by incorporating something from each look into the 'do.
"It's meant to be fun [and] young," says hairstylist Peter Gray, "We've taken a swatch of each and every outfit, and we've come up with a little bit of 'match' and a little bit of 'clash.'"
Final touches like blue and purple eyebrows create a cool look. Says makeup artist Tom Pecheux, "We wanted the color to be strong but pastel at the same time."
