Charlotte Ronson is taking a fresh approach to Spring fashion. Known for an edgy-schoolgirl look, this year's duds get serious.
"There's more oversized little boxy jackets, cropped trousers, a lot of oxford shirting and oxford dresses, and just a little more structured fabrics," says Ronson.
Her easy-to-wear designs are softened by a palette of romantic pastels. "For color, we have beach glass green, dream blue, silver peonies -- it's less whimsical, a little more crispness to it all," says Ronson.
Beyond the ruffled frocks and florals, the show was a family affair...with Ronson's sister Sam in the DJ booth spinning music for the models.
"It's such an amazing marriage when fashion and music come together...They just always seem to go hand in hand," says Sam.
Ronson's stepdad Mick Jones isn't surprised to see his little girl grow up to be a design diva.
"Ever since she was eight or nine, she was starting to do sketches. She definitely had the gift," says Jones.
Stand-outs in the collection? Ronson's denim and neoprene looks. Her brother, musician Mark Ronson, thinks the collection rocks.
"I think the clothes look amazing, and every time she does it the crowd gets bigger and the clothes get better. It's good. I'm really happy for her."
