Dennis Basso returned to a full-scale New York Fashion Week runway with 500 guests at Gotham Hall on Monday. Christie Brinkley, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, Carol Alt, Faith Ward and Jill Kargman were among the stars who attended the designer’s Spring/Summer 2027 presentation.

The collection introduced a new era for the iconic Dennis Basso woman, pairing the glamour and heritage of the fashion house with a modern downtown edge. Designed for a woman who is adventurous, confident and always chic, the looks moved effortlessly between polished occasion dressing and relaxed luxury.

Flowing silk chiffon, silk charmeuse, featherweight tweed, rich brocades and hand-embroidered silk organza brought lightness and texture to the runway. Cocktail dresses and polished tweed daywear appeared alongside dramatic evening gowns embellished with pearls, paillettes, bugle beads and hand-cut crystals. Faux-fur boleros also reimagined Basso’s signature fur aesthetic for summer.

Christie Brinkley closed the show in a custom creation, bringing the “Uptown Girl” inspiration full circle. The model and actress, famously associated with Billy Joel’s 1983 hit, said she was honored to participate and praised Basso for the enthusiasm and positivity he brings to those around him.
