Lights ! Camera ! Fashion ! Designer duo Badgley Mischka go for the gold with gowns covered in metallic leaf motifs and glitzy embroidery.
"Super super luxury but very comfortable that was our quest this season. We really discovered that our customer has nothing against opulence. She loves it more than ever. But she wants to be comfortable," says Mark Badgley.
Clothes get even more relaxed at Jenny Packham where the collection takes on a 70s vibe and rocks the hit shade of the season --- red.
"Her collection was inspired by Bianca Jagger and how she had this effortlessly eclectic style. So we kind of wanted to translate that styling from her collection to the hair and makeup," says makeup artist Jeanie Syfu.
Fashion Journalist Louise Roe drools over the young, laid back ensembles.
"There was a cream full skirt with a kind of parsimony sweater top. I want it! I want it!" she moans.
What Pamela Rolland wants is to celebrate the big apple. She does it with a blast of burgundy like the skin of the fruit, strong suit shoulders plus glitzy gowns. Who wouldn't want to take a bite out of that line-up?
"The 1930s architecture of New York and I kind of got my idea from my friend TJ Wilcox who just closed his show at The Whitney. But you will see a little bit of sparkle and the New york Skyline if you look closely enough at the beading," says Rolland.
