DL 1961 Denim and Leather
DL 1961's fall collection wraps-up Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with loads of leather and denim.
"The brand is like very urban. It's a jeans brand. It's easy to wear. It fits perfectly and it's fun," says Cesar Casier, model.
Rocker chic is the message on this runway by way of black jeans paired with tank tops, head to toe leather looks and even leather ties.
"So, they're stepping up a little bit making it more mature," said Andrea E. Wilson, Hair Stylist.
The menswear and womenswear line layers in button down oxford shirts to keep things from being too casual.
The hair is hot.
"We are doing a deep side part. Pulled back behind the ears because the shirts ... tops they are wearing have a little bit of a high neck, high collar so we don't want to hide the hair. And then we are just gonna fluff it up to give it a little texture so it's not so sleek .. still a little edgy," Andrea E. Wilson, Hair Stylist.
Edgy works perfectly with tight red pants, sleeveless silhouettes and heavy eye makeup.
"For their collection because it has that rockerish feel and it's straight and doesn't have a lot of pattern, we are pretty much rocking out this heroine chic gothic rockerish look. No blush, no lip, all on the eye. To pair them together went hand and hand," Sara Biria Makeup Artist.
DL 1961 is golden when it comes to the cool factor.
