Less is more when it comes to Duckie Brown's Spring 2015 line at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
"It's oddly simple," says Daniel Silver, half of the Duckie Brown designing duo. His design partner Steven Cox adds, "We've really, really thought about the size of everything...the trousers are slightly higher on the waist, the shirts are a little bit bigger than we normally do."
"It's obvious that there's been a lot of thought put into this collection..." says celebrity stylist Robert Verdi, "I think, because a lot of things are stripped down to their bare, bare weight."
The Spring collection is splashed with subtle and summery tones and topped with bucket hats.
J. Alexander praises the light color palette, "Love the colors. Love the silhouette. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant."
As for makeup, it was all about a natural look. "We are just keeping the skin super-matte and clean -- very plain," says makeup artist Ralph Siciliano.
The subdued skin was set off by edgier hair. "The product has a little bit of tea tree oil in it, so it just gives it a hint of a little bit grungy," says hairstylist Martin Cullen.
The final outcome did not disappoint photographer Nigel Barker. Of Duckie Brown, Barker says, "They push the envelope for guys...unlike almost any other American designer, which is one of the reasons why I love them," says Barker.
