The slits were cut high and the necklines plunged low at Elie Saab where asymmetrical hemlines, lace-laden cutouts and hue-drenched dresses dominated the designer's seriously seductive collection.
Bold black and white stripes mixed it up with brightly colored floral prints in body-skimming dresses; it's a look that OK! Magazine Style Director Pandora Amoratis says is on trend for Spring. "I'm loving the botanical prints," says Amoratis, "I love the idea of, like, a botanical print mixed with a stripe...just a little more mixing and matching, I really love."
And just as the long breezy dresses in deep corals, emerald greens and canary yellows were creating a resort vibe, in came playful short rompers, floor-skimming gowns in seafoam and cream and sexy sheer black dresses.
All trends, again, that Marie Claire Creative Director Nina Garcia predicts we'll be seeing more of come warmer weather. "Lengths vary, very long," says Garcia of Spring's fashion outlook, "And still a lot of color."
Capping off the collection, accessories made an appearance in outrageously practical, beautiful, boxy purses attached to gleaming metallic straps and chains, a final reminder that fashion can be fabulously functional.
