Satiny separates, flirty skirts, demure collars, lacy overlays, floral prints and slimming floor-skimming silhouettes... Erin Fetherston fans who delight in the designer's girlie and playful aesthetic will not be disappointed with her Fall 2015 collection which is as refreshing as a walk in the woods.
"My idea was sort of a woodland fairytale," Designer Erin Fetherston explains, "And I wanted to, you know, create something that was on one hand quite polished and sophisticated, but on another very light, airy and ethereal."
The designer's forest-inspired palette featured berry tones -- from raspberry reds to deep burgundy -- as well as shades of emerald and gold, and classic black and white.
"The hair and makeup is really so important," Fetherston adds, "You know, when I was thinking about the models, I wanted them to sort of feel like these otherworldly creatures. Beautiful creatures. And I love the long sleek ponytail and, you know, really just beautiful skin...like a little flushed from a walk in the woods."
Style and Beauty Expert Mary Alice Stephenson loves the collection's mass appeal, as well as its accessibility... "Well, Erin Fetherston is like girlie galore. Feminine, flirty, fun. I just love her clothes -- they're reasonably priced -- and so do girls out there in America. Her shows are always high-spirited, just really make you feel good, and her clothes do, too."
