Fall 2013 Trends: Red and Texture Rule
Red rules the runways at the Fall 2013 shows and texture is a trend. "Compared to the music business. Fashion. Wow. It's tough. You have really believe in what your'e doing." Bono wife, Ali Hewson's Edun label believes in putting shiny fringe on frocks.
And while black is back -- red isn't just on the carpet or in the Red Dress Collection -- it bled onto almost every catwalk. "It's important for us to share the word!" says Wendy Williams, talk show host.
Another word coming from the tents: leather. It will continue to be a smart investment. "I'm here at the Kenneth Cole show who I've been a fan of for a long time," says, actor, Cuba Gooding Jr. The king of leather shoes, took the texture trend a step forward with futuristic touches on clothes like metallics. "It's nice to see that Kenneth is in the fray of all of it. He's one of the most enduring designers," says Actress Brook Shields.
Designer Max Azria added lace and fur to the fall forecast. And a replay of red. "It's about freedom of style .. Milan ... the mixture .. three, four, five fabrics on the body at the same time."
