Fall Fashions for Less
Summertime is coming to an end, time to change our wardrobes to Fall.
How to do it without breaking the bank? We caught up with Style Maven, Jenn Falik to help us out.
Her biggest secret? Go online.
For Designer deals without paying designer prices? Check out http://www. ruelala.com. It's an invitation only site where you can find the greatest stuff at 30-80% off retail. The sales are only 2 days long but they launch at least 2 new private sales every day. Each one is a different designer brand. For example she found a Betsey Johnson floral dress that retails for $325 and got it for $99 on Rue La La.
Next-- http://www. shopittome.com. Falik says it's like a free personal shopper for clothing sales! You tell them the designers you love along with all of your personal sizes and they scour the internet to see when new items go on sale in your sizes for the brands you love at all your favorite retailers. They send you an email alert called Salemail and you even get to pick the day or days you want to receive it. So all the brands you love--on sale--BANG--right in your in box! Its so fun...and addictive!
Jenn says another tip that a lot of people don't know about is that there are certain days that are better than others to shop. Shop on Friday for jeans, skirts and dresses. Denim that went on sale on fridays averaged about 40% off, compared with 34% off on mondays. Shop on Saturday for new shoes, swimwear and intimates. And shop early in the week for women's handbags!
An easy way to also save is to work last season's pieces into this season's wardrobe. Jenn tells us that metallics are a continuing trend from last season, so if you can work this into this season's pieces, you can even incorporate trends from last Spring in your wardrobe for Fall. Like the colors pink and gold...rock 'em for fall and you're golden. Also the dark rocker look is totally in so find a pair of your old dark denim jeans, or anything with studs, leather...totally HOT. And the 80's are back big time so you can go back even further and digg up your 80's duds...find some shoulder pads and you're totally set!
