Jeans, jeans, and more jeans--that's what you'll want this fall, according to Dana Avidan Cohn, style correspondent for INSTYLE. As for the next big thing in beauty? It's all about going for a gorgeous, bright blond haircolor. Here's the scoop.
It's All About Having Great Jeans ...
"Denim is a key piece this fall," says Cohn. Her go-to jeans brand if you're on a budget: Express. Here are her three favorite styles for fall, all of which are under $100 dollars.
1. The Girlfriend Jean. "This is a slightly narrower version of the Boyfriend jean that we've been seeing the last few seasons. It has a relaxed fit through the hip, but it's slim, sexy and tapered through the leg. You can pair it with a simple tank and a black Moto jacket and black heel," suggests Cohn.
2. The Flared Jean. "The Boho 70's trend was so relevant on the fall runways," she says. The Express Flared Jean comes in a variety of different washes. "Pair it with a chunky heel or wedge to help elongate the leg, a floppy Fedora, retro sunglasses and a bohemian blouse," advises Cohn.
3. A Grey Denim Legging. "This is a color that not a lot of women have in their wardrobe already. It's a very easy style and fit and it has a mid-rise that is universally very flattering. You can pair it with a ballet tank and an easy throw-on reversible poncho. This is the perfect cozy weekend look for fall," she says.
... And Don't Forget Beautiful, Bright Blonde Hair
"Celebrities and trendsetters have really been embracing platinum and blond haircolors," says Cohn. To get that bold, red carpet platinum look at home for a fraction of a salon price, try Revlon Color Effects Platinum. "It has everything you need in a single kit--a super-rich lightening serum with a platinum powder, a keratin-infused shampoo and conditioner, along with nourishing oils to help keep your hair really vibrant and healthy. It's also ammonia-free," suggests Cohn. Want a subtler look? "You could also go for just highlights with Revlon Color Effects Frost & Glow. This is the number one at-home hair coloring highlight kit in America right now," says Cohn. "You can customize your look because it comes with a cap and a hook, so you can thread the hair through piece-by-piece, doing as many or as few highlights at a time as you want. It also comes in two shades, so it allows you to really get something that looks most natural for you and your skin tone," says Cohn.
