Things are really shaping-up for Jill Stuart.
"The long skirt is very new for me . .the long knitwear dress ... a lot of new silhouettes, a lot of new shapes," says the designer of her fall 2014 collection.
Stuart's style is just plain cool ... fur, lace, skirts that swing. Her palette picks shift into neutral: black, brown, navy and white -- making everything so wearable.
"I'm a big fan of Jill. I've been buying for my wife for over five six years," says photographer Nigel Barker.
At Prabal Gurung it's all about knatty knits.
He started out with great hand knit sweaters, chunky, textures over these fragile whisky skirts," says Vogue Accessorites Editor Virginia Smith.
While Stuart shys away from brights ... Gurung sends a big color message at his show.
"I loved his use of color. Dark reds, pinks and going into rusts. It was a very beautiful combination," says Alexis Bryan Morgan Editor Lucky magazine.
Pale, body conscious dresses parade down the runway at Rebecca Taylor leaving many a stylist salivating.
"I love Rebecca Taylor. I love what she does. She's a cool independent American designer. She has the right balance of edgy and feminine," says king of the cloth Robert Verdi who dresses stars like Eva Longoria for the red carpet.
Prints popped out here. Taylor gets her inspiration from a french graffiti artist.
"I had these beautiful subtle black and white prints," she says.
If this were a fashion olympics Herve Ledger's line would clean-up in the Snowsational Coats category.
"We are doing oversized jackets, capes, we have feathers .. it's a rich and beautiful collection," says his wife and design partner Lubov Azria.
