Fashion World Loses Alexander McQueen

At the first day of Mercedes Benz NY Fashion Week LifeMinute discovers British Fashion Designer Alexander McQueen has killed himself. This news, just three years after his close friend, and Fashion Icon, Isabella Blow - who discovered him and helped him become a star - killed herself. (Non fashionistas might remember her as the woman that Bill Murray talks to in the beginning of Life Aquatic.)

Known for his jaw dropping, lavish productions, sometimes morose, but always cool: shipwrecks, live holograms, human chess games, McQueen was a master craftsmen and showman whose clients included Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Cate Blanchett, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
