Golden Globes 2012: Red Carpet Trends Recap
Award season officially kicked off last night at the Golden Globes, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel... and the A-Listers took glam to a whole new level.
So many trends, so little time. From mermaid to metallic, nude to black, the stars did not disappoint.
'Modern Family,' bombshell, Sophia Vergara, wowed in strapless, blue, Vera Wang mermaid number. Reese Witherspoon, looked beyond fabulous, sporting this trend as well, in a scarlet Zac Posen frock. Elle Macpherson also opted for the elegant fishtail look, in a cream corseted dress, also by Zac Posen.
One of the biggest trends on the carpet... pale hues. Charlize Theron, stunned in a nude, bustled Dior Couture gown. While Kate Beckinsale donned a pale, Roberto Cavalli dress with sequin detailing.
Of course, no red carpet is complete without classic, black. Another huge trend, black with embellishments. Salma Hayek sizzled in a black and gold Gucci. While, 'New Girl' star, Zooey Deschanel rocked a custom black Prada gown, the top covered in emerald green glass pearls. Winner, Claire Danes made the trend her own, rocking a black and white J.Mendel gown with embellishments and an open back.
