Heart Stopping Fashions, Red Dress Collection 2013
Heads turned and hearts swooned for the ladies in red -- rocking the carpet and the runway -- for the Red Dress Collection 2013, kicking off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
"I love that it kicks off fashion week in New York. It's a fun event. And everyone is having a good time. And it's such an important cause," said designer Pamela Roland.
Hosted by the National Institutes of Health, A-listers like Minka Kelly, Biggest Loser Jillian Michaels and host Wendy Williams team-up with red hot designers from Carolina Herrera to Reem Acra and shine a light on heart disease.
News anchor, Soledad "Siren" O'Brien, delivered the sobering headline beautifully in her belted Black Hallow Eve. Reality sibs Kylie and Kendall Jenner, wearing Bagdley Mischka column dresses, reminded that awareness can never start too young.
"With the proper information we can yield good choices with life changing results," said Michaels.
Even Kelly Osbourne's purple hair doesn't detract from the message or her ravishing red number by Zac Posen. Heart disease being the leading killer of women is one reality Kris Jenner hopes to never be a part of.
But it seems everyone wants to be a part of this iconic fashion event: "I was just happy they asked me to do it again this year," said actress Minka Kelly looking glam in a grecian number by Oscar De La Renta.
From singers to snowboarders, the dresses and the stats are showstoppers.
"All these busy women are giving up their time to rock the runway. It's a beautiful thing," said Actress Jamie Chung.
